Winners Of 90th Anniversary Art Prize Announced

The daughter of a Vietnam Veteran, a Second World War veteran, an ex-Army member whose family has served since before the First World War and a DVA staff member are winners in the Lou White Art Prize, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs Alan Griffin said today. Presented by Ms Thrse Rein, Minister Griffin said the Lou White Art Prize was one of several events organised by DVA staff to mark the 90 th anniversary of the Repatriation Commission and raise money for the Kokoda Track Foundation.

Ms Rein’s father served in the RAAF during the Second World War and after a plane crash in India, became wheelchair-bound. Mr Rein’s mother was a WAAF communicator during the war.
