Media Release – Saturday 28 November 2009

WILL THE REAL PAUL FLETCHER PLEASE STAND UP!

“With the turmoil inside the Liberal Party, will their candidate for Bradfield, Paul

Fletcher, state what he really stands for”, said Deborah Burt the *Climate Change

Coalition candidate for the by-election in Bradfield.”

Is he a true liberal or a conservative?

Is he a true climate change believer like Turnbull or a climate change skeptic like Abbott

and Minchin?

Is he a caring and sharing true liberal or a dogmatic cutthroat conservative?

As a member of a liberal party in limbo, should Mr Fletcher drop out of the Bradfield

election campaign until he can tell the Bradfield electorate who he really is”, asked

Deborah Burt.

Peter Fletcher was asked a barrage of question on the Emissions Trading Scheme at a

Forum run by Chatswood West Progress Association 10 days ago. His answer to

all questions on the ETS was “I support Malcolm Turnbull on this issue”.

After agreeing to attend the Australian Youth Climate Coalition Forum 7 days ago,

he cancelled – it was the first sign that things were not going to plan for the Liberals in

Bradfield.

Has the Liberal Candidate changed his mind from 10 days ago and now support his

leader in the Senate, Nick Minchen and Tony Abbott?

“I hope to ask Paul Fletcher these questions today if either his website, his blog, his

facebook, his you tube, his flicker, his Twitter, or his campaign office will tell me where

he will be today”, Deborah Burt concludes.

of Climate Change Coalition to 4Change. The name change was not finalised prior to the

calling of the Bradfield by- election. Our candidate will be running as a member of the

Climate Change Coalition.
