Election day for Bradfield by-election


Electors are reminded that election day for the Bradfield by-election is this coming

Saturday, 5 December 2009.


Electors can vote at any of the 37 polling places in the Bradfield electorate which will open

at 8am and close at 6pm sharp. There are also a number of polling places with disability

access.


The locations of polling places in the Bradfield electorate are available from the AEC

website at www.aec.gov.au or by calling the AEC on 13 23 26.


The Divisional Returning Officer for Bradfield, Yvonne Harrison, said “It was compulsory

that every elector enrolled in the Bradfield electorate voted in the by-election.”


Voting is compulsory for all Australian citizens aged 18 years and over and enrolled

in the electorate of Bradfield.


“If you will be away and haven’t yet voted, you should vote before you leave at an early

voting centre.”

The by-election will be conducted using the same electoral boundaries for Bradfield as used

at the 2007 federal election.
