The Wellness Approach – Connecting CALD Communities
13th October 2010
Care Connect’s Blacktown office will receive $30,000 for the Wellness Approach –
Connecting Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Communities program
through a successful application grant.
The successful application grant was made possible under the 2010/11 Positive Ageing
Grants program and NSW Government. The program will support positive ageing
initiatives that strengthen communities, contribute to an aged-friendly culture in NSW, and
maximise opportunities for older people to remain active, socially connected and engaged.
One hundred and seventy three grant applications were received and assessment panels
were convened to consider each application carefully. Care Connect’s Client Services,
General Manager, Marisa Galiazzo is proud to be working with a dedicated team who
continue to provide quality services to the people who need us the most – our clients and
the community.
Care Connect would like to commend the NSW Government and The Hon. Peter Primrose
MLC Minister for Ageing, Minister for Disability Services, Minister for Youth and Minister
for Volunteering for their decision in selecting Care Connect to work on this project and
look forward to commencing the work on The Wellness Approach.
