FIVE SA STUDENTS TO BE PRESENTED WITH LONG TAN BURSARIES

Five sons and daughters of Vietnam veterans will be awarded Long Tan Bursaries worth up to
$9000 tomorrow by the Minister for Veterans Affairs, Alan Griffin.
The students will be in attendance with their families.
Long Tan Bursaries will be presented to 53 students across the country this year.
The bursaries recognise the difficulties children of Vietnam veterans may face. Educational
support has been shown to be effective in improving well-being and resilience to issues arising
from their parents service in Vietnam.
Minister Griffin and the five recipients will be available for short interviews following the
presentation ceremony.
The students are studying at the following institutions:
University of South Australia; and
University of Adelaide.
