SES Volunteers swap Santa’s sleigh for Flood Boats
11 volunteers and four flood boats from Sydney Metropolitan SES units will
be heading off to Dubbo this afternoon to join a team of almost 100
volunteers from units around the State who are giving up their Christmases
with Family and loved ones to be in position to combat the flooding forecast
by the Bureau of Meteorology as a result of the arrival of ex-tropical cyclone
Laurence into the far west of the State.
Where: Sydney Southern Region Headquarters, Bankstown
Unit 4, 150 Canterbury Rd, Bankstown
When: 15:00hrs 25th December, 2009
Duration: Volunteers loaded and out the gates by 15:30hrs
