THERESE REIN TO PRESENT VETERANS’ ART PRIZE
181 ENTRANTS VIE FOR AWARDS
Ms Thérèse Rein will join the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Alan Griffin, TOMORROW to
present the Lou White Art Prize.
The late Lou White, who served in the RAAF in the Second World War and was a trained artist,
believed in the significant contribution of art to the physical, mental and social wellbeing of
veterans.
Ms Rein’s father served in the RAAF during the Second World War and after a plane crash in
India, became wheelchair-bound. Mr Rein’s mother was a WAAF communicator during the war.
