THE STEPPING OUT PROGRAM STEPS OUT NATIONALLY
The Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Alan Griffin, will be in Townsville TOMORROW to launch the
extension of a program helping Australian Defence Force personnel and their partners to
successfully transition from military to civilian life.
Mr Griffin said The Stepping Out Program was trialled in Townsville and will now be extended to
all exiting ADF personnel and their partners.
A rollout to VVCS - Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service centres across
Australia will be completed by the end of 2008.
“The Australian Government is committed to providing new and innovative ways to help ex-
servicemen and women in their transition from military to civilian life,” Mr Griffin said.
The Minister will be available for interview.
