TEN VICTORIAN STUDENTS TO RECEIVE BURSARIES

Long Tan Bursaries worth up to $9000 each will be presented to ten sons and daughters of
Vietnam veterans TOMORROW by the Minister for Veterans Affairs, Alan Griffin.
The Victorian students and their families will be in attendance.
Long Tan Bursaries totalling more than $500,000 will be presented to 56 students across
Australia in the coming weeks.
Long Tan Bursaries assist children of Vietnam veterans to pursue tertiary qualifications,
recognising that many have overcome personal family challenges to pursue their education.
The students are studying at Swinburne University of Technology, Deakin University, JMC
Academy, RMIT University, Melbourne University, the Australian Catholic University and
La Trobe University.
Minister Griffin and *six of the ten recipients will be available for short interviews following the
presentation ceremony.
