Increase in Laser Pointer Seizures Sparks Warning
Minister for Home Affairs, Brendan O'Connor, and Customs and Border Protection have issued a warning to the general public on bringing laser pointers into Australia: if they are illegal they can be seized and destroyed and you may receive a fine of up to $110,000.
The warning comes after a marked increase in seizures of illegal laser pointers through mail and air cargo coming into Australia.
