FIVE WEST AUSTRALIAN STUDENTS TO RECEIVE BURSARIES

Long Tan Bursaries worth up to $9000 each will be presented to five sons and daughters of
Vietnam veterans TODAY by the Minister for Veterans Affairs, Alan Griffin.
The students and their families will be in attendance.
Long Tan Bursaries totalling more than $500,000 will be presented to 56 students across
Australia in the coming weeks.
Long Tan Bursaries assist children of Vietnam veterans to pursue tertiary qualifications,
recognising that many have overcome personal family challenges to further their education.
The students are studying at Murdoch University, Edith Cowan University, Curtin University, WA
TAFE and Swan TAFE.
Minister Griffin and the five recipients will be available for short interviews following the
presentation ceremony.
