ADELAIDE VETERANS GET THROWN INTO
VETERANS HEALTH WEEK
Local veterans will try their hand at bocce, jenga, mini-golf and ball games
TOMORROW Wednesday 26 August at the Adelaide Veterans Health Week Expo.
There will be a special Judo demonstration from Paralympian Anthony Clarke OAM, Life
Be In It games throughout the day, walking groups, exercise classes and health checks.
Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Veterans Affairs in South Australia, Ian
Kelly, said Veterans Health Week, 24-30 August, is about encouraging veterans, war
widows and widowers to think about their health and take part in regular exercise to live
a stronger, healthier and happier life.
I encourage all members of the veteran community including their families and carers
to take a healthy step forward and take part in a Veterans Health Week activity, he
said.
