2010 YEAR OF WOMEN IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT LAUNCH
The Hon. Anthony Albanese MP, Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local
Government will launch 2010 as the Year of Women in Local Government to recognise, celebrate and
promote the advancement of women into senior management and leadership roles.
The minister was to have launched the Year of Women of Women in Local Government jointly with The Hon.
Tanya Plibersek MP, Minister for the Status of Women. It was with regret that Minister Plibersek recently
advised she will be unable to attend.
