2009 ANZAC DAY IMAGE TO BE REVEALED
TOMORROW the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Alan Griffin, will unveil the 2009 Anzac Day
poster.
This year’s poster marks the 10th anniversary of Australian peacekeeping operations in East
Timor.
One of the two men featured in the poster, former Australian Army Private Paul Everett, will join
Mr Griffin tomorrow at the Australian War Memorial’s peacekeeping gallery.
The poster features a striking image of two Australian Army personnel providing outer perimeter
protection in Dili. 85,000 copies of the poster will be distributed throughout Australia.
Minister Griffin and Paul Everett will be available for interviews and photos with relics
such as the AWM’s UN Land Rover.
