RECOGNISING AIR FORCE’S WORK IN KANDAHAR



WHAT: 

Parliamentary Secretary for Defence Procurement, The Hon.

Greg Combet; and Air Commander, Australia Air Vice Marshal

Mark Skidmore, will attend a ceremony formally recognising

about 40 members of Air Force’s Number 41 Wing for their

outstanding service in Kandahar, Afghanistan.


41 Wing personnel have been deployed for six-month periods

since April 2007, providing air surveillance and air battle

management for operations from Kandahar Airfield.  


The function will also recognise the support families and

partners have provided our deployed Air Force personnel. 


WHERE: 

RAAF Base Williamtown.


WHEN: 

Thursday 10 July at 2.30pm. Media should assemble at the main

gate at 2pm. Photographic identification is required to access the

base.
