NSW ADFA APPOINTMENT CEREMONY
What:
The Minister for Defence Science and Personnel, the Hon.
Warren Snowdon MP, will be attending the New South Wales
ADFA appointment ceremony.
Where:
Victoria Barracks, Oxford Street, Paddington NSW.
When:
3:00pm, Wednesday, 21 January 2009.
Background:
Today, more than 50 high school graduates from across NSW will start their training
as officers in the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
These young men and women will be appointed as midshipmen and officer cadets of
the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA), before being farewelled by family
and friends for their journey to the campus in Canberra.
ADFA offers an exciting, rewarding and challenging experience to Year 12
graduates. As midshipmen and officer cadets, they undertake a three-year military
and leadership training program while studying undergraduate degrees in Arts,
Business, Science, Engineering or Technology through the University of New South
Wales at ADFA.
They are paid to study, have their tuition fees and textbooks paid for by the ADF,
enjoy a fantastic lifestyle and graduate with a guaranteed job in the Navy, Army or Air
Force.

Hill, Mona Vale, Bowral, Orange, Seaforth, Russell Lea, Collaroy Plateau, Arcadia,
Bayview, Summer Hill, Walgett, Narellan Vale, Kingsgrove, Raby, Grays Point,
Figtree, Carlingford, Lindfield, Balmain, Milton, Willoughby, Merrylands, Eastwood, St
Clair, Roslyn, Toongabbie, Burradoo, Gerringong, Peakhurst, Chiswick, Turramurra,
Wellington, Maroubra, Kellyville, Blacktown, Northbridge, Clovelly, Miranda,
Carringbah, Harrington Park, Menai and Vincentia.
