NAVY ROCKS ON WITH FALL OUT BOY AND XBOX SOUNDS

Today the Ship's Company of HMAS Tobruk, recently returned from deployment, had

the thrilling task of playing host to American rock sensation Fall Out Boy as part of

an Xbox Sounds event on board the Navy vessel.

Commanding Officer of HMAS Tobruk, Commander Peter Thompson, RAN, looked

on as his crew enjoyed the once in a lifetime experience that money truly can't buy.

"The crew have been working hard on deployment and this concert is a great chance

for them to let their hair down and have some fun. I'm delighted to see Navy getting

involved in such a great event," said Commander Thompson.

Fall Out Boy performed the exclusive daytime show for Xbox Sounds with the iconic

Sydney Harbour Bridge as their backdrop, on the deck of HMAS Tobruk, which was

moored at Garden Island in Sydney Harbour.

The 15+ alcohol free event was the second Money Can't Buy event put on by Xbox

Sounds and judging by the smiles on the faces of the crew of HMAS Tobruk and the

prize winners who joined them on the flight deck it was also a once in a lifetime

event!

The event is cost neutral to Navy, with Xbox Sounds covering all costs. Navy

supported the concert because it represented a valuable opportunity to communicate

with the key 15-25 year old recruiting demographic.
