NAVY AND UNIVERSITY OF WOLLONGONG TO
COLLABORATE ON RETAINING CORPORATE KNOWLEDGE
What:
The Royal Australian Navy and the University of Wollongong, with
sponsorship of the Australian Research Council, are establishing a
$240,000 project examining effective ways to retain important corporate
knowledge when long-standing employees retire. Media are invited to the
contract-signing event.
Why:
Due to the changing demographic of the Australian workforce, the
findings of this research into Navys maritime engineering community
will have wider application across the Australian Defence Force, Public
Service and the business community.
When:
10.00am, Tuesday, 10 June 2008, for one hour, including interview
opportunities.
