MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM DEFENCE PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Defence Public Affairs would like to take this opportunity to wish all in the media a
happy and safe Christmas.
As in past years, we advise that while operational areas of the Department will
maintain a capability to respond to emerging requirements, those personnel not
required will be taking the opportunity to proceed on leave over the Christmas / New
Year period.
Therefore from 4:00pm today until 7:00am Monday, 5 January 2008, the Public
Affairs Operations Centre will be operating with reduced staff.
Chiefs of staff and journalists are requested to note that a Public Affairs Officer will
be available on-call to respond only to issues of national importance or major
incidents. All other inquiries will be processed on our return.
