Australian Medical Task Force welcomed home from Pakistan


WHAT:

Welcome home ceremony for members of the Australian Medical Task

Force following their successfully completed aid mission in Pakistan.


WHERE:

RAAF Base Amberley.


WHEN:

10.00 am, Friday 29 October 2010.


WHO:

Senator David Feeney, Parliamentary Secretary for Defence.



Air Marshal Mark Binskin, AO, Chief of Air Force.


A RAAF C-17A Globemaster will land at RAAF Base Amberley with Mr Thanh Le,

the AusAID Team Leader and the Joint Task Force Commander, Wing Commander

Ross Wadsworth who jointly coordinated the Task Force in Pakistan. 70 other ADF

members will also be on board and will be met by family members.


Note to media:

Media are required to assemble on the bitumen area opposite the contractors gate at

Hansen's Rd off the Amberley-Haigslea Rd (UBD Street Directory Map 231 Ref H2)

promptly at 9.30 am to be escorted to the flightline. Photographic identification will

be required to access the base.
