AIR FORCE C-17 DELIVERS HUMANITARIAN SUPPLIES TO BURMA


Vision of a Royal Australian Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft being loaded with

humanitarian supplies to deliver to Burma will be fed to networks at the Parliament

House Press Gallery shortly.

Background:

Operation Nargis Assist was launched at Australian Government direction to provide

Australian emergency relief to the Burmese people.

 

The C-17 today delivered 31 tonnes of emergency relief supplies from Defence and

AusAID to Burma, including water purification tablets, blankets, tarpaulins and

medical supplies.
